This is what happens when you build a diorama with no real plan about where it will end. Other than wanting something unique in the Science Fiction genre, I have absolutely no excuse for this.
I’ve always quite liked the look of the artwork done by Ian McQue and decided to use an old tugboat kit as the core for a “floating” ship based on his art.
The robot just sort of happened. The base for the workbot was a Revell kit from their line of “Defenders” from the early 1980’s.
