Collaborator

This was my first attempt at an emotionally evocative diorama. Despite the terror and psychological damage the war inflicted on whole civilian populations. I think it says a lot about the innate goodness of humanity that these women, though brutalized and humiliated, were not placed directly before a firing squad. Whatever they had done in collaborating with an invading army, the angry mob found within itself enough decency to allow these young women to live out the remainder of their lives

This was the first tracked vehicle I constructed after returning to the hobby. From that perspective it’s not too bad. Still, I can see very clearly in looking at it now that my skills have come a long way in the last couple of years. I can also see the ways in which my figure painting has both improved, as well as remained static…..should probably work on that.
